About Camp Discovery

Camp Discovery is an American Diabetes Association residential camp offering young people with diabetes a week of fun. Opportunities such as outdoor recreation, arts and crafts, horseback riding, education and the excitement of developing close friendships with other campers and counselors make this a special place. Special attention to diabetes makes Camp Discovery a safe environment for active youth while providing valuable diabetes management education. Camp Discovery is located in the WaShunGa area of Rock Springs 4H Center about 13 miles southwest of Junction City.

Special Thanks to our Sponsors and Donors:

ADA Camp Discovery is funded in part by a grant from the K.T. Wiedemann Foundation, Inc. This grant is given in honor of Kenneth W. Pringle, Jr., a Wichita attorney who served as legal counsel and trusted advisor to Gladys and K.T. Wiedemann for more than 40 years until he passed away in 2002. The foundation supports Camp Discovery to honor his desire to see everyone with diabetes live a full life, especially children and their families.

We would also like to thank all of the local Lions Clubs, Cosmopolitan Clubs, Fraternal Eagles, the Lattner Foundation, and Cox Communications
