About Camp Lakota

Camp Lakota is held at the Wisconsin Lions Camp which is located on 440 acres. This includes a sparkling lake for boating, fishing and all water activities. There is hiking, climbing walls, archery, sailing, paddle boating and many other activities. A typical day includes swimming, education, boating, arts & crafts, having fun and making new friends.

Cabins (side by side) with a lounge area connecting the 2 cabins are air conditioned, fully accessible and have modern bathrooms. Camp facilities accomodate 150 campers per week. Cabins accomodate 8-9 campers and a counselor.

At camp we have nurses, doctors, and dietitians who are assigned to each cabin of 8-9 children. ADA medical staff provide campers the information and skills they need to live successfully with diabetes in any situation.

We achieve your child's main goal in attending camp - having fun and meeting other kids with diabetes.Campers participate in traditional camp activiites, gain independence, grow in self-confidence, discover new skills, learn respect for each other and the great outdoors.
