Type 1 diabetes, previously known as juvenile diabetes, is usually diagnosed in children or young adults, but type 2 diabetes, previously known as adult-onset diabetes, is being diagnosed in more and more children and teens. New research looks at how diabetes and related conditions affect children and teens and what can be done to prevent diabetes in this group.
